Purple Rain is a gorgeous royal purple with pink and blue microglitter. This beauty was nearly perfect in one coat, but I applied two because I missed a couple spots. The formula isn't overly thick and is an absolute dream to apply. My only complaint is that the square cap and fairly short brush makes application a little awkward, but it's not enough of an issue to make me knock off a star.

This nailpolish applies so nicely, it almost looks like a professional manicure when I do it myself. I love the color.

I live by Nars Orgasm blush so you could understand my excitement when I saw it was also available as a nail polish. I found the color to be very disappointing here though. I had a friend describe it as the color you'd wear to paint your Barbie doll's nails with as a child. Would not recommend.

I bought the item (eligible for 2-day shipping) on 6/9/2013, and it didn't arrive until yesterday 6/21/2013. It took 2 weeks as opposed to 2-day shipping. HOW SLOW!!!

I just tried it on and realized that somehow it didn't apply as easily and evenly as the sample I tried at a local Sephora store. I was amazed by the effect in the local store and bought the nail polish on amazon immediately. But I'm not nearly as impressed by this particular bottle I just received after much anticipation!
