I am not a nail professional. I just bought the UV light and the shellac top, base & Fedora color. I watched videos before doing it and learned that this color HAS to be applied very thin. This is 1 of 2 colors (the other being a whitish color, I think they said it was called Cream Puff??) that will try to bubble or "shrink" when applied. What I mean by shrink is that even if you entirely cover the name and cap the end edges of the nail, you will see it retract from the nail edge and look as if you didn't put polish there. This DID happen to me, but after I applied the 2nd coat, it was not noticeable. So don't freak out, just continue with the rest of the process. As I said, I LOVE this color & do NOT regret buying it, but I wanted to pass on the information.

I love this color. The CND Shellac technology is great. And yes, you must 'cure' this type of nail color/polish with a UV light. But it is totally worth the added cost and effort. It does not chip and it stays shiny (with the required top coat). It takes about 5 minutes to remove and does not damage the nail.

This color is a very dark brown with a hint of maroon. I use it on my fingernails and it 'matches' enough with Essie's "Wicked" color. It is a fab color for the winter months. I think it may be a bit too much for summer and spring.

okay, I'll admit I didn't use THIS amazon product, my nail tech had this color and I want to review the actual color. It is totally HOT. More black than red and super fun. It stays on nice (she used the CND) and looks AWESOME!

THese light cure gel systems are such a great remedy for keeping nice looking nails on active hands. Shellac is an excellent 1. Just make sure you read the quick start instrucs for the entire system. I learned a lot from Amazon reviews & a referral to some great UTUBE videos by someone like "nail fixer" or "nail problem solver." Anyway, you can find her fairly easily & learn everything you need to know to do a truly pro looking mani/pedi.

I am writing to let all the women out that there that have been looking for an answer to long lasting nail polish. I have been painting my nails for 25 years and "always" have to touch up using regular nail polish. I heard from a dear friend, Michelle about this awesome new CND Shellac. I order the uv light and a couple of colors. I have been using the CND Shellac for almost one month. I LOVE IT!!! It does not damage your nail beds at all. Application is easy and taking the shellac off is done very easily too. I work full time, do dishes and normal cleaning duties and haven't had any chips or dulling of the color. I am completely amazed. Definitely look into it if you are thinking of purchasing this unbelieveable invention.
