This is the most beautiful subtile shade of sheer pink in my collection. I wish I could buy it in bulk! One coat is pretty much clear, but the pink acts like a foundation correcting imperfections in your nails (fine cracks, uneven color) two coats is the perfect sheer pink look: you can still see the white nail tip, under the milky frosting of pink, it's very shiny no need for a top coat!

What I like to do best, however is use a chunky pink glitter polish first, then layer this sheer pink on top, the result is a more grown-up take on sparkle nails! The glitter is muted by the sheer pink, but still visible, it's a perfect way to pull of glitter nails at work without looking juvenile.

I think this color is flattering for all skin-types. I have medium (think barack obama) warm brown skin, but it could be very cute on both darker and lighter tones.

As most people with skin darker than olive are aware, we need to avoid orange when choosing pinks-no worries here, it's a very balanced shade.

Lastly, it's fairly easy to apply... as long as you stick to one or two coats the dry time is fast. For three coats do two in one sitting, then the next day add the third... it will be less hassle to dry and you'll get an extra day or two out of the manicure.

Super clean nails are a must to pull this look off, even the slightest tiny bit of dirt ruins it. I carry a small scrub brush in my purse when rocking sheer polish.

BEWARE, Yummy Mummy is not a good neutral for every skin type. (with my fair/med pinkish skin tone really ugly) I ended up giving it to a friend who has very yellow undertones in her Italian skin. A much better fit.

Honest reviews on butter LONDON Nail Lacquer, White & Pink Shades

I bought this nail polish with high hopes with reviews and seeing it in a magazine. So i ordered the base, top, this pink, and disco bisquit. I loved the colors, but they peeled off within one day!!! and not just a little chip, and entire layer. I tried without the base coat, same thing. Tried to return it, and they don't accept returns.....very unsatisfying considering how much I spent!

I love the colors of Butter London polishes and have six that I bought on a BOGO sale to try them out. The colors I tried were Come to Bed Red, Rosie Lee, Dahling, The Black Knight, The Old Bill, and Yummy Mummy.

I paint my nails several times a week and use many different brands, from drugstore to even higher priced than Butter London.

As much as I love the colors and hate to admit that I wasted my money on these polishes even with the BOGO deal, but I did waste my money. The wear of these polishes is AWFUL. Probably one of the worst wear times in the industry in my opinion (and yes I always use a good top and base coat). To give you an idea of the numerous other brand I've compared this to: Orly, Nails Inc., Chanel, OPI, Essie, China Glaze, Deborah Lippman, Wet n Wild, Revlon, L'Oreal, Sally Hansen, Sinful Colors, Spoiled, among others. I think that this is probably the worst wear of the brands that I've tried, the other brands have hit or miss poor wear time for a shade, but all 6 of the Butter London polishes I tried wear horribly. The colors that I tried also have different finishes (cream, glitter, and shimmer) and they all chipped within about a day.

I further suckered myself into spending money on the brand by thinking that maybe the same brand of top/base coats would make a difference (and this is the case with some other brands). So I got the base coat (Nail Foundation Flawless Base Coat) and top coat (Hardwear P.D. Top Coat) and it made no difference.

I'd love to love these polishes, but the value for the price is not there! There are loads of other "3 free" polish brands that have great colors and are cheaper, so if you're interested in these polishes from the "3 free" aspect do some shopping around. If you're in love with a specific color, there are not a lot duplicates in other brands, so it may be worth it to you.
