I am a HUGE makeup fan and I especially pay attention to my mascara I have long eyelashes but not very thick and I am always searching for something new!

However, I have been using L'Oreal Mascara since middle school and there's a reason for it!!

I have tried many others in between Benefit BADGal, Revlon, Covergirl, etc. etc. but NONE hold a candle to L'Oreal and I always come back!

It gives FULL, thick, lashes and never disappoints!! I have read about many professional makeup artists using this as their go-to mascara and must have there's a reason, it works!

Tip: Curl your lashes before applying and apply 2-3 coats! It will really make your eyes pop!

(#1 REVIEWER)This inexpensive mascara gives me volume and lengthening, and I don't need multiple layers. No extra layers is key to not getting "raccoon" eyes and clumpy lashes.

I have a friend who works as a make-up artist. She taught me a few tricks I live by:

1. I start at the base and wiggle the wand as I brush towards the tip. This wiggle is the key to depositing color evenly.

2. After applying the mascara I immediately use the eyelash comb to separate eyelashes and remove any clumps. I want to make it look like the color and length are natural not sticky and lumpy. It is important to do it right away before mascara dries out. Once it dries the mascara is no longer pliable.

3. If you need to apply another layer (two layers is max) then do it quickly before the first layer dries out. Repeat the brushing with eye lash comb right away.

4. If you get raccoon eyes, put less mascara on the lower eye lashes.

You'll get quick volume and lengthening from this incredibly inexpensive mascara without having to put on a dozen coats to see it, like some other brands. I have sensitive skin but it's never bothered me at all; I've even watched sad movies in it and it doesn't run. :-) Seems to come off about as easily (L'Oreal makes a good eye-makeup remover, too!) as other mascaras I've tried.

I have tried MANY brands/mascaras out there...this is my favorite. It gives good volume and length. Good price and the quality is awesome!!! Highly recommend it. Why spend so much money on other famous brand, when this one does what it suppose to!

I'm not sure what's going on with Loreal mascaras these days. They have been my favorite for years but the last few I've purchased have been weak. Even one's that I've used before and liked, like Voluminous, are no longer satisfactory. I can't seem to get enough mascara on my lashes to make them full. By the end of the day, the product has worn off substantially. Maybe it's old. I sure would like to find a good, reasonably priced mascara.
