I love the shellac system as a whole and this polish is no exception. Depending on the lighting sometimes it looks like a light grey'ish purple, other times a great taupe color. I have fair skin and the color is perfect. I've also just tried layering it over the dark lava and it makes a great dark grey/purple. Like other reviewers said, you do need two coats of this but I've found that with most of the shellac color's.

'Rubble' went on grey/brown, and I get many compliments on my 'taupe' polish when I wear this shade. You need two coats of polish and remember to shake the bottle for about a minute to properly mix it prior to application, otherwise it will be streaky.

I'm fair haired/skinned (pink undertones) and this colour looks great, especially at this time of year (fall/winter).

Unlike other shellac colors, this one looks just like the color on the bottle. Very nice color, not shiny or streaky at all.

It's like a medium brown. Coffee with a little cream. I believe it would look great on any skin tone. It's a good color for thin application, no streaking. I love CND!!
