At the time of writing this review, I have used this product as both a base coat and top coat on numerous occasions with fabulous results every time. Essie 3-Way Glaze works as a nail hardener, a base coat, and a top coat. I love that this product is multifunctional as it is cost effective and simplifies the process. No need for three bottles of polish, this one bottle achieves it all.
As previously stated, I enjoy this product for the convenience of not having to have multiple bottles of polish, as well as the cost aspect. However, the product itself is great.
This product goes on smooth without needing a ton of polish or nail swipes to coat the nail. It also dries fast {to my relief} and has a great shine to it. A quick dry is absolutely pertinent as I don't have hours to wait for my nails to dry before I can go on with my everyday life. I have had no issues with drying, it dries fast! Also, the shine helps keep my manicure look fresh. For me, it has a nice smooth, quick, shiny finish.
As a top coat, I actually put it on everyday to help maintain my manicure and it works fantastically. I have had far less issues with chipping since using this product. My manicures used to last a mere day before I started using this product. Now I have found it lasts as long as a week {sometimes longer}. I am putting on this top coat everyday, and I believe that makes all the difference.
At the time I made this purchase, the product was also reasonably priced through Amazon. I definitely think it is worth the purchase.
A few other "poor" reviews stating pitting, a non-smooth finish, no shine, and slow drying as faults of this product. I personally have not run into any of those issues. In fact, that goes against everything I have experienced with this product. I thoroughly enjoy this product as a base and top coat. I would recommend it, and I certainly would purchase it again.

I have only been using Essie products for a short time. I was really in need of a bottom and top coat and I had read a few reviews that this one was a good one. I've loved the Essie color nail polishes so I figured this one would be just as good and it does not disappoint. It is great that I can use it as a bottom and top coat because it gives enough shine and protection, especially me that I'm just getting into the self polish thing. Definitely recommend it. Reasonably priced and great brand and product.
