Love the color, great glitter, dries fast on your nails. It dried up too fast in the bottle. I love Essie polish but I only got to use this one twice. Oh and if you add nail polish remover to thin it down it will disinitegrate the glitter. Just a friendly tip.

Essie nail polishes are among my favorites -they last a long time without chipping, have great coverage and generally remove easily. I've had tough luck with "sparkle" polishes in the past, mostly because they're so difficult to remove -but the Luxe Effects polishes don't have that problem.I have "Set In Stones," the silver sparkle polish, and it's a lovely and brilliant color that looks great on its own or over a dark polish. I even matched it with a similar silver tone and used it just on my ring fingernails -a more "sophisticated" way to wear it than having sparkle polish on every finger (not that there's anything wrong with that! It's just not practical for me during the work week). It lasted until I wanted to take it off, which was about five days after putting it on.
Use one coat for just a light sparkle and two coats for a more opaque finish. Definitely use a top coat over "Set In Stones" -without it, the large sparkle crystals snagged on my clothing, etc. But with the top coat that wasn't a problem.

I have this nail polish in blue, and although the glitter is lovely and covers smoothly with one top coat, which can be hard to find, it is difficult to get off the nail. Not a big deal, it's glitter nail polish, that comes with the territory. But I've had my bottle less than six months, and it is almost too dried up and gloppy to use--keep in mind I have a bottle of aqua Essie polish that I've been using at least once a month for over two years and it's still as smooth as the day I got it. They missed the mark on longevity with this one!

The yellow is not rich like the picture it's basically clear polish with yellow glitter and glitter doesn't cover whole nail it's patchy and overall crappy. I put it on and a lady said it was cute that I let a little kid paint my nails with pure glitter it was terrible and embarrassing!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Essie LuxEffects Top Coats
This review is for "A Cut Above" (the pinkish color). I haven't tried the others.I lovee the way the polish looks. It's a nice chunky glitter, and it applies fairly evenly.
I hate the way the polish came off in 1 huge chunk 2-3 days after applying it. I use a base coat, a coat or 2 of color, a layer of this polish, and a top coat. I thought it was a fluke, so I acetoned my nails and tried again--and huge chunks of my polish were missing withing 2-3 days, again.
Not sure why it likes to come off like this, I'll have to do some more experimenting because I love the way it looks so much!
