I LOVE THIS PRODUCT !!! For years when I would go to the nail salon I would always just use the salon's (off brand) base coat, nail polish, and top coat to complete my mani/pedi. But, of course as you all know the polish starts to chip & crack within the first 24 hrs and by day 2 you are taking your nail polish off or going in for a polish change. That can add up to BIG BUCKS. But, not with this OPI Chip Skip. I am an OPI Fan. Over the years I've managed to collect about 64 bottles of OPI Nail Lacquer. In my opinion It helps me out when I bring in my own polish to the salon for my mani/pedi because I already know what color I want to put on, how it already looks on me because I've tried it on before, and not to mention I can avoid the "cheapie" polishes that will most definetly chip and crack. I have always used OPI Base Coats but, this particular product is AWESOME it actually makes the polish lasts alot longer and in my case my nail color would stay on for 6-8 days before It's starts to wear off and like the other review from "d briggs country girl" says it WILL NOT CHIP. If your're wondering what I use try these simple steps. I now use one coat of the OPI Chip Skip FIRST and two coats of any OPI Nail Polish and I finish with OPI Rapid Dry Top Coat it dries fast to a glossy finish and my nail color stays on longer and most of all it DOESN'T CHIP !!!!!

i use chip skip on my natural nails every time i paint my nails! it's a must have!it really works. i use a liberal amount on my nails, to make sure they are good and soaked with the liquid. it dries fast, so i figured the more the better. it hasn't hurt them, but has def helped. my nail polish does not chip!!! it will wear off, but not chip. (yes, there is a difference)
first i apply chip skip, then nail envy by opi as my base coat, then 2 coats of any branded nail polish. works like a charm.

I just want to make very clear this is not a base coat or nail laqcuer. It is a primer, it's watery, and basically what it does is it 'dries' up the top layer of your nail (don't worry it does not actually make your nails dry). It cleans the surface and removes all oil so your nail polish stays on better. You don't need to add a lot to have result. You just brush a thin layer on your nail.Then you put your own favorite base coat (please do not skip this step to protect your nails), then your favorite nailn lqqcuer color, then your fave top coat.
I swear this works. My nails are very brittle and thin and chip so easily. This product makes your mani last much longer which is great. Escepcially if you are wearing your more rare or precious colors!
If you want to do your mani the right way, this is a must-have for all polish-lovers girls.

OPI Chip Skip really works! Have you ever been to different nail salons where when you leave one it lasts a long time and you leave another one and it chips the next day or two. Do you ever wonder how to get salon looking nails without going to the salon?
