This product works, and works VERY well, IF you apply it correctly.

What I mean by that is: Folks, this is a LONG WEARING foundation that wont rub off. it is not like a regular foundation that will transfer and smear off 30 minutes after you put it on: what that means is, you have to apply it correctly the first time.

On other sites I have heard people say its heavy and mask-like, it makes me ask the question if those ladies have ever used long wearing foundation before? with regular foundation, you can put a lot on, then smear it around, work it into your skin, then stand back and look at it; if it is un-even, you can take a sponge and blend it, and if its too thick in some spots, you can wipe some off, etc.. You CANNOT DO THAT WITH LONG WEARING FOUNDATION! :)

With Long wearing foundation ( whether its this brand or Revlon Colorstay or any other ) you have to approach it differently.. you put a TINY bit into your hand, get some on your fingertips, and apply to a SMALL area at a time, and you have to work fast! blend a small amount lightly and quickly into your skin, and then move on to the next area, and so on, until your face is covered. this product is thin and it dries quickly, and once its dry, thats it.. you cant take a sponge and smear it around or blend it in.. you have to do that the first time, while you are initially putting it on, because once it dries, thats it; if you try to layer more on top of it, it WILL look thick and cakey and feel awful on your skin, and it WILL show your pores and your fine lines, etc.. THIS STUFF IS NOT MEANT TO BE APPLIED IN A THICK LAYER! when applying, you must work quick, use a small amount of product, and blend it quickly and thinly with a light touch. if you try and apply this the same way you apply regular

( non long wearing) foundation, it wont work, it will look cakey and thick and un-even and you will hate it; however, if you you apply it quickly, in a very THIN layer and blend it very fast as you are applying it, you will end up with coverage that is even, VERY light feeling on your face, VERY natural looking, and it will STAY that way 16+ hours. No, I dont work for the company.. its just that I have been using Colorstay by Revlon since it 1st came out ( was that 1996? ) and I know how to apply long wearing foundation. it took me lots of practice the first time i used a long wearing foundation, and I made the same mistakes, and it felt heavy, showed all of my imperfections, and looked and felt like a mask.. UNTIL I learned how to apply it. I have a very un-even skin tone ( redness, blotchiness ) and have large pores, oily skin, and some mild blemishes, and yet when I am done applying this product, my skin tone is even, all of my imperfections are covered, and it feels so light on my skin, I cant even tell I have it on. it lasts all day and looks smooth and natural. If you choose the correct color and learn how to apply it, you will not find a better foundation.

I have been using this for about 4 years, and haven't felt a need to switch to anything else. It is a thin formula, but don't let that fool you, the coverage is supreme. I place about one pump in my hand and spread it on with my fingers in little sections at a time. It isn't oily, so it washes away easily with soap and water. A little bit goes a long way. I love how it doesn't cake or settle heavily into the fine lines.

Other foundation that I have worn will come off on clothes when I remove my shirt, but this doesn't. Also, when I scratch my face, it stays in place. I can sleep with this makeup on, and even though some does rub off on my pillow, I wake up with most of it still in place. It also doesn't run off with sweat, unless I sweat excessively like if I am exercising or hiking.

It would take an incredible upgrade to make me switch from this foundation. I am glad they continue to make it, and that there are many shades available, as I change colors depending on if I am tanning or not.

Normally I love L'Oreal products, so I'm hesitant to believe that this isn't my fault... Maybe I'm applying it wrong or something (though I'm not sure how that would be). However, this doesn't seem to ever go on smoothly or lightly even if I use it to just tint primer. It always looks a little chalky and is hard to blend.

I'm not willing to write it off completely because it does provide nice coverage for some occasions, but I'm not sure this is an "everyday" kind of base.

Almost 5 stars. I like it the best of all the brands I have tried. It covers and lasts well without being too heavy. I like the ivory color some are too dark or too pink.

Two complaints the first few pumps tend to be too thin and runny and so are wasted. The tube to the pump is too short and leaves a lot of product at the bottom of the bottle that can't be pumped out not unusual in makeup. It would seem the companies want us to have to buy another bottle when there is still makeup in the first bottle. Shame on them!

Way Too dark. Would return but cost is too much. Will never buy from this seller again. Old product, suppose to be liquid but so thick you can not get it out of bottle.

came on time fast delivery. great for doing gel nails. the only thing is that they have alot of photo inhibitors. so it stings a little bit when curing. i figured out if you just set your nails just at the edge of uv light and then after a minute place them all the way in light it doesnt sting as much.

I actually bought this at walmart but thought I'd be helpful and review it on here too. I put this on for the first time 2 nights ago and it looks so cool! It's bumpy but other people wouldn't notice. I used it as a top coat on pink, blue, and pink nails. It looks the most like fuzz if you put the it over the same color, so this green one looked the most fuzzy on my green nails. On the pink and blue it looks like sprinkles more than fuzz, but still looks very cool in my opinion. I plan on buying the other colors as well. Also, 2 days and no chips so far, so I think It makes a good top coat, I put 3 layers on my nails.

I was excited to try this as I have never had this type of polish before. I put the recommended three coats on and it looked and felt awful like it was a bad consistency and didn't look right. I will never purchase this type of polish again. As soon as it was half dry I took it off and threw the bottle away. Yuck.;

I had been drooling over this polish ever since I first saw it in a magazine weeks ago. I was finally able to get some and it is fantastic. I have found this locally at both Walgreens and Target. The polish applies much easier than I thought it would. It also give much better coverage than I expected. Two coats of this gives you a very nice, thick, fuzzy appearance. You can still see nail underneath with two coats, but you can also still make out the long bar texture of the flakes. This particular color "Fuzzy Fantasy" has pale green and white "glitter bars". I don't know what else to call them, they are long thin strands of plastic glitter type material (however they are matte, they do not sparkle at all). This particular color is one of my top favorites in the line. Everyone that sees this polish on my nails always comment on it and ask me where I got it. I hope Sally Hansen decides to add this polish to their line permanently instead of just as a limited edition.

Just a note: These are super hard to remove. I had put on two coats and it took me 30 minutes to get it off my 10 nails using regular strength nail polish remover. I had applied the polish only to my bare nail, perhaps it would have been easier to remove if I had used a basecoat first. On the plus side these seem like they will stay on for a long time and not chip.....

I gave Revlon the same feedback as I'm giving here because I feel it's worth improving upon. It's a nice product! It gives you a bit of flexibility as where you want the glitter on your nails BUT, as the other reviewer pointed out, the glitter pieces are much larger than advertised. It makes it challenging to apply on your nail when the glitter doesn't stick to the brush. I had to do two topcoats of it to have a decent look. I found like the other reviewer that the pieces stick off your nail (because of their size) and if you want a smooth topcoat with the glitter, it's just not possible with the size of these chunks. I will update this with 5 starts if Revlon improves upon on this product.

You have to be very careful opening both ends, and must deal with having one end on as you apply. It makes it very bulky. The glitter shards aren't cut evenly, so you have huge chunks and small dots. No top coat is thick enough to coat it. But it does look pretty. It's worth the price.

I've been looking for a manicure that would help me get at least 5 days before my manicure chipped this product did just that. I do wash dishes and do laundry and whatnot so i know that can wear on your manicure but even with all that my manicure lasted. If you're like me, you aren't satisfied with just any ol' normal color on your nails.

Sure, that green is pretty. But it's missing something. Something...glittery.

This is the perfect sparkle; in my book, it trumps all others. It's not too thick, and rather than chunks of sparkles, your nails become a completely glittering surface, almost as though diamond dust has been ground up and put in the polish.

I also find this is really good for sparkly tips, as a mere two light coats of it give you an almost solid sparkle.

I ordered this to replace my Essie All-In-One Base Coat since I need a base coat that strengthens and helps with ridges. I couldn't be more happy with the extra strength this adds to my thin/sometimes flake prone nails and while it does take a while to dry, using it as a top coat gives an incredibly shiny finish. If I'm in a hurry, I'll go back to my quick dry top coat (also by Essie) but I much prefer this formula. Using this as both a base and top coat seals my manicure for a good 7-10 days, which is unheard of with my nails (I'm lucky to get 3-4 days normally).

This does what it says it does. I've used it as a base coat, added color then used it again as a top coat. It worked perfectly and my manicure lasted several days without chipping. I also used it by itself and it leaves a beautiful, mild glossy finish on natural nails while making them strong and secure against breakage. I would recomment this product with 100% confidence.

I really do like elegant touch this is the first time I tried these nails. They lasted almost two weeks which is great!!!! However, they do bend and leave those unflattering folding marks so be careful with lifting stuff remember they are not your real nails so you must be somewhat gentle or you can break them. Also, I used glue I am not a fan of those tabs because they pop off quicker for me. I wish it would have came with glue. The nails bending and them not coming with glue is the reason why I did not give it five stars, but these nails definitely deserve at least four stars because they last along time and they look like your real nails, which is a plus.

When I first saw the Oz collection, I have to admit I was slightly disappointed, because I was expecting a brighter color palette, given the color opportunities from the movie (Yellow Brick Road, Emerald City, Ruby Red slippers etc). However, after seeing many swatches on blogs and then looking at the swatches in the store, I was convinced to buy a handful of the colors, and I've fallen in love!

Lights of Emerald City is a gorgeous and unique polish, in my opinion. It's a clear base with interspersed sparkles and white square glitter that is like no other I've seen. It looks epic layered over any polish, but I've been wearing it over I Theodora You. It's not too thick or clumpy, and the glitter spreads very evenly without having to dig too much. This is actually one of my favorite glitter-esque polishes in quite some time.

It's got medium wear for me. I spend most of my day typing (at least 8 hours/day at 91wpm), and I don't notice any increase or decrease in chipping when I layer this over other polishes. Manicures, even with top and base coat last about 2-3 days for me without chips. The nice thing about this glitter mixture is that it is NOT a topcoat eater.

Definitely recommended, a great addition to any collection for some fun and flirty accenting!

The trick with this one is to lay down a couple of base coats, and then layer several (at least 3) coats of When Monkey's Fly on top. Then, top this with a couple of coats of top coat. This will take forever, but the results are AWESOME.

Orly makes another awesome product! This matte topcoat is great. Unlike some others I've read about that take forever to dry and are sticky, this one isn't like that at all. It makes your nails matte while going on smooth and easy. If you do as it instructs and wait until your nailcolor is completely dry before applying the matte topcoat, then dry time won't be a problem. Worth the money for sure! Nail fun!

I love this matte top coat! I have wanted one forever and just received it today. It is the only one that I will ever use. Not only does this create the best matte finish, it dries fast, which in my case is awesome. Essie's takes a while to dry which i do not like. I am such a nail fanatic and this is such a great addition to my collection. I love the texture too. Not the chalky feeling kind. Orly has done it again!

Purchased this as my first foray into the world of matte polish. At first, I was worried that using a matte top coat instead of actual matte polish would produce results that left something to be desired... but I needn't have worried at all. Not only does this provide the versatility I was looking for (obviously being able to use it with any color), the finish is satisfactory.

After my first use:

Product applies easily and cleanly over polish. Not too thick or thin, brush is pretty standard.

Leaves a nice matte finish. To me, it looks about the same finish as "satin" wall paint, after one coat. This was sufficient for me, so I didn't apply a second. Even with one coat, your nails are definitely NOT shiny anymore.

Dries fast! This is important to me, as I had very little patience waiting for my nails to dry to begin with -and even less now that I've got a new baby to take care of. I managed to get two coats of quick-dry polish AND a coat of this top coat on and dry before my LO woke up from her nap -maybe an hour, to be on the safe side. Changed a diaper immediately and not a single smudge.

I've yet to observe any negative qualities, here... but I suspect that, as most fast-drying formulas do, this top coat will thicken over time and well before I've finished the bottle. Will update with results!

UPDATE, 6-22-13: This stuff is still amazing. I don't use it that often, but the formula is still a dream and hasn't shown any signs of thickening. 10/10 would buy again.
