Bought two sets of the rhinestones the other day, and wasn't sure if I was getting my money's worth. I was crazy enough to count them all; took me about four hours to sort through the mixed-up colors, dump each of them in separate places and count everything. The total turned out to be a little more than 4,000 pieces, which means that each wheel contained only about 2,000 pieces -not 2,400. (For average of each color, see below.)
If you don't mind missing approximately 17%(1/6th) of the advertised number, it's not a bad product. The rhinestones are very shiny and colorful, making them interesting to look at. (And wow, did I spend a lot of time looking at them.)
As others have commented, the colors can get mixed up if you're not careful (or they just came that way because of the shipping). Some of the colors (esp. black and purple) "stick" to the walls more than others, which means that there's a higher chance that the stones will get caught between the wall and the lid, which will wedge the lid up and allow some (or many) stones to spill into the adjacent compartments. This happened to me, which is why it took four hours to sort and count everything.
Color averages: (from 2 sets; average total approx. 2,010 pieces per wheel -your mileage may vary)
Red ~ 150
Magenta ~ 165
Pink ~ 175
Yellow ~ 175
Green ~ 170
Lime green ~ 150
Blue ~ 180
Light blue ~ 170
Purple ~ 185
Lavender ~ 150
Clear ~ 170
Black ~ 170
Edit: Went to a local beauty supply store today, and found their version of a rhinestone wheel. It was approximately $4-$5 with 12 colors, but only 20 pieces per color. This is a much better deal, despite the "missing" stones.
Edit 2: The product was about $3 when I had purchased it.

This is are some very nice quality rhinestones compared to some other brand I bought. I think these are about 2mm in size, so a bit large for the center of flowers on my nails. Regardless, can still use them on the nails for other designs.Best Deals on MASH Rhinestones 2400 Piece 12 Color Nail Art Nailart Manicure
I make handcrafted greeting cards and I'm always looking for less-expensive alternatives for some of the supplies I use the most.I stumbled upon these little rhinestones while searching for embellishments for my cards, and they are PERFECT! I use them to embellish some of the lacy die-cut trims and to highlight different aspects of the embossed card stock backgrounds. I use a glue pen Sakura of America Quickie Glue 0.7mm Point Ink Pen 1 Pack to adhere them -this allows me to place a tiny "spot" of glue, then drop the rhinestone in place. Quick and easy.
I invested in the MASH tweezers MASH Nail Art Tweezer for Rhinestones Fimo Canes Glitter Confetti and 3D Shapes and find they really help me keep these little gems under control.
My case arrived intact, no "spillage," but these do have a tendency to "float" due to static electricity. I usually just tap the top of the case a coule of times, and the gems fall back into their compartments.
Very happy with these, especially since rhinestones specifically made for paper crafts can cost up to six or eight dollars for 40 or 50 gems! For card makers, this is an incredible deal.
