This really just fit the bill for me. Like any matte topcoat, it will slowly become satiny if you use lotions or somehow get it oily (cooking?), but then I just put on another matte layer. Unlike other competing matte topcoats, it doesn't sometimes have white specks in it (Essie...) or crackle (ManGlaze) or otherwise do anything weird, even if you paint it on top of wet or dry or anything in between nail polish, and it's very matte, unlike some of the other competitors that are more satiny. It's exactly what I expected. Yes, it's more expensive than some of the alternatives, but I'd rather pay more and be sure I get what I want the first time than try several cheap options that don't turn out quite right and end up spending this money later anyway.

I love this matte finish. The bottle is much bigger than most nail polishes and it's well designed. The finish goes on easily and dries quickly. I actually think it makes the underlying polish dry faster too.

It works on any nail polish -but, fair warning, it doesn't look good on every nail polish. I've found that matte reds look weird. Even if some colors don't look great, it's fun to see how the finish changes the look. I love it over light blue.

This matte top coat works really well! Took out all the shine from my black polish with one carefully placed coat. The only down side for me is the hole it puts in my polish budget. :-)

I was sceptical about this product working at first, but soon as I put the top coat on it passed my exceptions. I was really happy about it working. It looks great on dark colors like a dark red or black. It dulls down the color a bit, but it gives it a really neat effect. What a cool product!

I love butter LONDON polishes. Seriously. They're expensive, sure, but they're always worth it. So when I was looking for a matte finish topcoat to play with, I read all kinds of reviews before settling on this one.

And I'm so glad I did!

It goes on super smooth, no streakiness at all, leaves the nails gorgeously matte, and even after 3 days, maintains its matte appearance. I'm sure over time the matte will buff out, they all do, but so far, it's holding up like a champ.

The smell is a bit... harsh at first, but once it's dry, there's nothing but a gorgeous, streak-free, matte finish that has me constantly staring down at my tips.

Pricey, yeah, but totally worth it. The bottle itself is huge, much bigger than I expected, and like I said, it works beautifully.
