Full disclosure: I am not even close to being a manicurist. So maybe it's just my lack of professional skill? But I got this polish because I needed something that would look nice for longer than a day and I just don't have the time to get gel nails done every 2 weeks.
First off, the color is beautiful. I've gotten compliments on it from complete strangers. It also seems to dry in a decent amount of time.
But, I can see already that it's chipping, after less than a full day. Granted, I'm rough on my hands, and traveling this week, but that's entirely the reason I got this polish!
So better than a regular polish, but not exceptional.

I am really, really impressed with Vinylux. For the record, I am a perfectionist when it comes to nail: they must always be filed to a perfect shape, and I cannot tolerate any chips. I am going to review Vinylux in comparison to regular polish (such as OPI, which is mainly what I use).I tried two colors so far: Pretty Poison and Lilac Longing. It's a very easy to use formula (less clean-up than regular polish). You paint on a first coat of color, followed by a second, and a nice heave layer of the top coat (it has to be a thick coat or it'll leave streaks). It seemed to dry completely in roughly 10 minutes.
The nail polish stayed nice and shiny for the whole week, with no chips. There was a little wear on the tips (due to washing dishes, etc.) Then, it just washed off with regular nail polish remover, with no damage and no staining. I think it can last up to two weeks, and look passable. The only reason I washed it off after 1 week was because my nails grew out, and I got tired of the color.
So, here's what I noticed: OPI lilac lasts for up to 3 days before chipping on me (colors with a white base generally don't last long). CND Vinylux lilac lasted a week, and could have gone longer. OPI dark colors with shimmer, comparable to Pretty Poison, last up to 5 days without significant chipping on me, but will get pretty worn and lose shine by then. And, CND Vinylux Pretty Poison held up for a week without damage.
I am going to try out more colors, and see if the formula is consistent for all shades.
I recommend checking out the CND color chart (http://www.cnd.com/pro-products/vinylux/nail-polish-colors) before purchasing because they list which colors are opaque, sheer, and semi-sheer, which you can't see very well from the pictures of bottles available on Amazon.
