First of all, I love Scotch Naturals polish! How can you argue with a product that WORKS and is also vegan, cruelty-free, gluten free, fragrance free, toxin free, paraben free, hypoallergenic and biodegradable? That said, I am not a fan of Blood and Sand (hence 4 out of 5 stars). It's described as "intense sparkling burgundy" but to me it has too much orange in it to be burgundy. It looks more like rust, and reminds me of the nail polish my mom wore in the early 90s (not in a good way). Bummer I wanted it to be on-trend with the whole oxblood fad.

I adore my other colors of Scotch Naturals polish. I also recommend using the topcoat to achieve a shiny finish. Without it the colors sometimes look matte (which can also be cool). Also, the soy remover is awesome you spray it on, let it sit for a bit and then rub the polish off with your fingers. It comes off in chunks!

I love this nail varnish. I was introduced to this brand by a friend, and since then I have stocked up on many of their amazing colours. It is interesting to watch the colour dry on your nails. When it does dry it will be a matte finish, you then will add their rock hard top coat which will give you the more traditional shine that you expect from a nail varnish. I am sporting the Flying Scotsman right now, but that will only be on for a few more days as the removal is so easy and and it doesn't stain your finger nails like other nail varnishes do. I am completely hooked on this brand. Love love love it.

Trying out several different brands of nontoxic polish. I thought the color was beautiful but once dried has a more matte look no luster or shine.

Honest reviews on Scotch Naturals Nail Lacquer

REVIEW FOR SEETHING JEALOUSY COLOR: I am a huge fan of Scotch Naturals: the colors are really unique and you can tell that they are created by someone with a very good eye for bringing out an exquisite color. This green isn't really a teal, because there is barely any blue in it: it's more like a deep and rich emerald green--so it has just the slightest hint of blue in its depths compared to a forest green.

People who complain about how easily Scotch polish peels or chips simply haven't applied their polish correctly: DON'T EXPECT YOUR POLISH TO STAY ON IF YOU DON'T USE BASE AND TOPCOAT CORRECTLY. Or if you go stick your hands in dishwater after you applied polish.

This is the best polish I've ever used, and I've used top of the line brands like Max, Chanel, Clinique, etc: THIS WATER-BASED POLISH DOESN'T CHIP!!!!! I am absolutely amazed. I apply base coat (after smoothing and buffing nails, which also helps to keep polish nice looking longer), 2 or 3 coats of color (some of the Scotch colors require more coats: I think that's just the nature of some colors), and a top coat. Sometimes I re-apply top coat after a couple of days to shine things back up. And I am careful of how I use my hands when I paint my nails.

I think some you ladies live in a fantasy world where nail polish looks perfect no matter how many times you immerse it in water, do rough jobs with it and just plain live in it for four to five days. I am a realist: I expect my polish to look decent for that period of time IF I AM MINDFUL AND CAREFUL about not doing stupid things like dishes without wearing gloves, sanding table tops, pouring cement, etc.

No one's polish looks great after 5 days unless you are very rich and have someone who does everything for you so you don't have to use your hands. But Scotch gets TEN STARS for ODORLESS, SAFE, NON-TOXIC, ABSOLUTELY EXQUISITE COLORS & DURABILITY. There are some so-called natural polishes on the market that make a lot of noise about not using formaldehyde, toluene, etc., in their formulas, but that doesn't mean they are non-toxic. Look up ingredients on SkinDeep.org.

I wish non-toxic nail polishes would just stay on longer. The color is vibrant and beautiful and it applies very evenly and easily, but it began chipping after the first day even though I had the Scotch Naturals top coat on. It's a great product if you have the patience to reapply often.
