I bought this for my natural nails, because the box didn't say 'acrylics, gels or wraps', it just said that it was a great rich nail binding and smoothing product. Plus, it is sheer white, (not beige), making it really clean under pale sheer polish. I LOVE it. If I don't have time to do a full manicure, (but would still like to look like I have time), I can quickly apply two coats and get a smooth, pretty polished look with minimal effort.

I bought these because it was especially made for artificial nails. As the box description states: "For sleek, natural looking nails: ridge filler is the base coat of choice for acrylics, gels, and wraps. It fills in all imperfections, leaving the nail surface smooth and ready for polish."Baloney!
I followed the directions to the word: "Apply as a base coat then 2 coats of your favorite Essie nail polish. Finish by applying an Essie topcoat."
WHAT IT DID DO:
It indeed filled in imperfections and gave a smooth look. Sometimes one coat didn't do it. It applied smoothly.
WHAT IT DIDN'T DO:
Didn't allow nail polish to apply well on top of it. Doesn't matter how long you allow this base coat to dry, once you apply nail polish on top of it, it gets gooey and takes FOREVER to allow your nails to dry.
The nitrocellulose in the ingredients (see below) is what helps it gather into indented ridges and imperfections while thinning out over the smoother areas but but it has a gummy texture that it turns back into when you apply nail polish on top = seemingly endless drying time.
I wouldn't buy again.
